JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:• Prepares and performs a variety of CT and radiologic procedures.• Provides patient care during procedures.TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:• Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.• Constant: reaching at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, frequent gripping of an object.• Frequent: standing, walking, twisting body, stooping/bending, lifting weight with assistance up to 50 pounds, carrying up to 40 pounds; pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds of force, reaching above shoulder level, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods. • Occasional: sitting, kneeling, squatting, twisting body.TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.• Exposed to communicable diseases, body fluids, mechanical/electrical units, chemicals, and radiation.• Work environment is fast paced and high stressed due to patient census.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:• Current Hawaii state license as Radiologic Technologist.• Current certification in Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.). If not certified, certification must be obtained within one (1) year of entrance into the position.• In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively communicate with the Medical Staff.• Current BLS certification.B. EXPERIENCE:• Two (2) years experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care facility; OR• One (1) year experience in Radiologic Special Procedures.• CT experience preferred.
