Industrial Electrician - 1st Shift

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrician to join the maintenance team at a fast-paced food packaging facility located south of Madison. This DIRECT HIRE position involves advanced electrical work including planning, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of plant-wide systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial electrical systems, particularly within food manufacturing environments. ScheduleMonday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PMSaturday work may be required as neededOn-call availability is expected for after-hours emergencies Compensation$38.00+ per hour, with consideration of experience levelFull benefits package included ResponsibilitiesPlan, install, and maintain 3-phase power distribution, motor control centers, and plant-wide electrical systemsLead troubleshooting and upgrades on high-speed production and packaging equipmentPerform load calculations, short circuit analysis, and ensure proper circuit protection across plant systemsSpecify, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and automation components in collaboration with controls and automation teamsCoordinate with QA, Sanitation, and Production to minimize impact on food safety and production schedulesConduct root cause analysis for electrical failures and implement long-term corrective actions QualificationsValid Master Electrician LicenseMinimum 7 years of industrial electrical experienceStrong understanding of electrical theory, NEC, NFPA 70E, and industrial safety standardsProven experience with 480V 3-phase systems, motor control centers, control panels, and motor circuitsProficiency in reading and updating electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and one-line diagramsWorking knowledge of PLC programming, VFD tuning, and industrial networking is a plusCapable of performing electrical calculations and specifying proper electrical equipment for food-grade environmentsStrong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills#indMMIS
