Apply Today!Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Certified Surgical Tech, under the direction of a Registered Nurse,you willcontributeto the company’s mission and vision byassistingwith the provision of safe and effective nursing carein accordance witha defined scope of practicewithin the operating room. Thismayinclude:direct patient care and observation,scrubbing andassistingthe surgeon at the operative field,surgical room turnover between cases, collection and recording of pertinent clinical data in the medical recordand consistent collaboration with the Registered Nurse in clinical decision making.What you will do in this role:Demonstrate necessary practical, technical, or specialized skillsrequiredfor the role of the surgical technicianin accordance withtheAssociation of Surgical TechnologistsAssistin preparing the operative suite for surgery by checking and gathering supplies, equipment, and instrumentsEnsure that surgical asepsis ismaintainedin the handling of instruments, sponges, sutures,drains, needles, and dressingsAssistin the turnover of the operating roomsuites between cases, disposing of trash and linens, and cleaning of equipment and environmental surfacesPrepareprocedure room for use the following day by bringing in equipment, setting up, pulling cases accurately, and reporting to supervisor items that are needed and not availableQualifications you will need:Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program asrequiredper facility practice and state regulatory requirement; otherwise preferredSurgical Tech CertificationOne year experience in an operating room setting (preferably in an ambulatory surgery center)Valid BCLS Certification upon employment***Online certification not acceptableSurgery Ventures powered by HCA Healthcare is proud to have a distinguished reputation as a providerof high quality, outpatient surgical care . Brentwood Surgery Center will have 3 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms. This state-of-the-artfacility will perform an array of outpatient surgery from multiple specialties. Our specialties includeorthopedics, total joints, endoscopy, general surgery, GYN, and podiatry. Brentwood SurgeryCenter will be a CMS certified facility accredited with the Accreditation Association for AmbulatoryHealth Care (“AAAHC”).
