Diagnostic Medical Sonography & Cardiovascular Sonography Program DirectorThis position will pay up to $114,000 annually depending on education and experienceThe Program Director manages faculty and other academic staff and ensures effective leadership of his or her department and students. In addition, the Program Director is responsible for all applicable accreditation commission standards or agency regulations as well as all programmatic outcomes. The Program Director is also required to implement, monitor, and uphold all applicable policies and procedures to ensure effective functioning of the department. This also includes ensuring these activities are occurring and documented for facultyAdhere to Concorde policies and accreditor standardsEnsure the safety of the department meets legal and regulatory guidelines and standards of the programConduct and document regular department staff/faculty meetingsEnsure faculty files are maintained and complete as per the Academic Dean’s requirementsAssist with ongoing review and development of program curriculumEnsure that all appropriate surveys are conducted timely and reviewed effectivelyProvide regular performance feedback, including formal classroom observations, to all faculty as appropriate and be open to coaching from Academic DeanAdvise, coach and mentor students as appropriate and necessaryProvide support and supervision to ensure programmatic and institutional completion, licensure and placement outcomes are metEnsure compliance with all requirements of programmatic and institutional accreditors including advisory committee meetings, scheduled and unannounced visits, annual reports, self-studies, and responseReview and ensure accurate and timely course, student, and faculty schedulingAssist with and attend graduation as requestedTeach classes as and when necessary and as permitted by any programmatic accreditorAssist with student orientationsParticipate in the budgeting process and supervise procurement to ensure that program needs are metReview and assist with implementation of the Satisfactory Academic Progress process, including grade audits and timely completion of student advisingSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYAll program faculty and staffEstablish/maintain a high performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metricsRecognizes and rewards employee contributions and achievementsOther duties as assignedEducation / ExperienceDegree - Minimum of an Associate degree in Medical Sonography-related discipline and a bachelor degree in any fieldCredentials - Must be registered in at least one of the Sonography specialties for which they assume a primary teaching role:Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with specialty certifications in both Obstetrics and Gynecology (OIB/GYN) and Abdominal (AB)Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Adult Echocardiography (AE) SpecialtyRegistered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS)Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)Experience - Equivalent of four years full-time professional experience as a general sonographer or vascular technologistMust have course work in instructional methodologies, evaluation, and assessmentMust have proficiency in curriculum developmentExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsPrevious teaching experience preferredExperience in curriculum development, instructional methodologies, evaluation, and assessment preferredThis position will pay up to $114,000 annually depending on education and experience Standard AbilitiesAble and willing to:Communicate, think, learn, and reasonUse computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to process transactions, store documents, enter data, or perform assigned tasksSafely ambulate and/or maneuver when on-site at Company locationsDemonstrate and utilize active listening, inductive reasoning, information ordering and category flexibilityAbility to use good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretionAbility to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential and multiple projects are worked simultaneouslyAbility to gain, understand and apply information and data as it relates essential functions of the positionAbility to foster long-term relationships with stakeholders
