Peraton is seeking skilled and qualified candidates for their Shipping Receiving Clerk I - On the Job Training (OJT) position.The Shipping and Receiving Clerk I OJT worksat the United States Postal Service (USPS) Central Repair Facility (CRF) in Topeka, KS.The CRF is a depot repair facility for USPS mail processing, delivery, and bulk mail systems repairable parts. Examples: repairing printed circuit boards, electrical, electronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies to component level. The CRF provides depot level maintenance for essential automation, mechanization, retail and bulk mail processing systems used in all mail processing and retail installations.Our Shipping Receiving Clerk OJT performs a variety of non-complex assembly and disassembly tasks to perform functional tests for quality of product according to specifications. Specific tasks include:Performs interchangeably as receiving clerk and shipping clerkUnpacks, identifies, and prepares necessary receiving documents required for work control of end items as established in work instructionsUnloads and distributes piece parts and supplies to appropriate areasFollows instructions for packing, marking, and shipping as required to meet timely shipping performanceCoordinates necessary shipping paperwork as required in the established work instructionsMay be required to operate a motor vehicle in the movement of goodsExtensive interactions with internal and external customersPerforms other related tasks as assigned #CRF2025Basic Qualifications:High School graduate or equivalentU.S. CitizenshipAbility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearanceRequired skills will be obtained through a 90-day On the Job Training (OJT) programUpon successful completion, individual shall be deemed fully qualified as having met the labor category requirements for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk IAbility to obtain and maintain forklift licenseAbility to use small hand tools and operate machinesAbility to work with computers Ability to stand on feet for long durationsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with banding, Insta-pack, pad pack, and similar equipment Experience with storage and handling of ESD sensitive items Physical Requirements:Heavy work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objectsPhysical activity may include forklift, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, and repetitive motionRequired to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipmentSubject to hazards; includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical currentPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
