This role coordinates carrier schedules, manages dock activities, and supports administrative functions such as equipment maintenance, inventory support, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team leadership.Coordinate carrier schedules and dock appointments to ensure efficient freight flowCommunicate with drivers to gather and relay shipment and delivery detailsOversee trailer inspections to ensure safety and complianceInitiate and manage outbound shipment pickup requestsProcess and distribute shipping documentation accurately and promptlyDirect dock personnel to maintain smooth and timely shipping operationsPrepare and submit customs documentation as requiredMaintain and organize shipping documentation and office filesEnsure barcode scanning equipment is functional and ready for useSupport annual physical inventory processesUpdate freight class data in the JDE system to ensure accurate recordsMaintain a clean and organized shipping officePerform payroll duties for the departmentPerform other duties as assignedMinimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse or shipping environmentProficiency in ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP)Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and customer service abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentAbout AmcorAmcor is a global leader in packaging solutions for consumer and healthcare products.
