(800) -678 -9908350 temporary full-time Carnival Workers from 1/5/26 to 11/4/26.Perform a variety of attending duties at amusement or recreationfacility. Sell and collect tickets/fees, assist patrons; erect, takedown, operate/attend amusement booths and maintain equipment; rides andgames; make change; sell and serve food. Provide assistance to patronsentering or exiting amusement rides. Maintain inventories of equipment,storing/retrieving items and assembling/disassembling equipment asnecessary. Monitor activities to ensure adherence to rules and safetyprocedures. Prepare food such as corn dogs, french/curly fries,twinkies, snickers and cheesecake, cotton candy, popcorn, funnel cakes,prepare turkey legs for the smoker. Set up - stock/clean and ready forservice, tear down - pack up stock and close down booth, heavy liftingand physically mobile, operate amusement rides, games and concessionbooths. Prepare corndog batter using the provided recipe; insert stickinto hotdog and dip into batter. Place on tray freeze. Put frozencorn-dog in fry basket, lower into deep fryer. When done, lift frybasket out of hot oil, and allowed to drip; wrap in wrapper. Utilizingknives and slicers raw potatoes are cut according to instructions,placed in fry basket and lowered into deep fryer. When done, the frybasked is lifted out of the hot oil, and allowed to drip. Fries areplaced under heat lamps on plates or boxes. Prepare batter using theprovided recipe; insert wrapped paper sticks into candies/cookies; anddip into batter, place on tray and freeze. Place frozen candy in frybasket and lower into deep fryer. When done lift fry basket out of oil,and allow to drip. Wrap fried candy into wrapper. Sugar and Flossine areplaced in cotton candy machines. While the sugar is spinning, a cottoncandy cone is used to lift the spun candy out and into cotton candybags, tied and hung. Popcorn seed, oil, and salt are placed intocommercial popper. The unit produces fresh-popped popcorn. Popcorn isscooped into popcorn bags/boxes. Prepare funnel cake batter usingprovided recipe. Ladled batter into dispenser, release batter into hotoil in fryer. When done funnel cake is removed using a slotted flatspatula and allowed to drain; then placed on paper plate and sprinkledwith confectioners sugar. Utilizing knives turkey legs are trimmed andprepared using proper safety measures. Meats are seasoned with preparedspice mix and placed in the smoker. Temperature in the smoker isregulated to ensure proper temperatures are met and maintained. Meatsare checked using an industrial meat thermometer to ensure the meats aredone to safety guidelines. Following simple specified instructions: Setup-take down booths by opening awnings, putting up signage and flagsutilizing a ladder, hammers and screwdrivers. Takedown will use the sametools in reverse order of setup. All required tools are provided. Stockbooths with food items or prizes and equipment according to a providedcheck list. Using basic cleaning supplies and following proper safetyprecautions and sanitary measures cooking utensils are washed and putaway. The interior of trailers is cleaned; ensure all items are cleanedand stored in a specified safe manner for transportation. Attend andMaintain equipment by following simple specified instructions forequipment utilized. Check for any food service equipment not workingproperly and report to maintenance personnel for repair or replacement.For example, watch for damage to electrical cords and report issues asneeded. Assist patrons in getting into rides, inform patron to fastenbelt, bar, or other safet device. Ensure safety at all times. Operatethe control console to start and stop the ride. Attend games byexplaining the rules of the games, assist in playing the games (such ashanding a patron a ball to throw or ring to toss), retrieving andproviding prizes for winners at games.Hours, schedule and days vary - sample shift time: 10am-7pm, 1-hourunpaid break; 35-40hrs./wk., extra hours may be required or available,may include weekends and holidays. Work needs (i.e., hours, days,schedule, location, and work positions) vary. Work needs subject toindustry practice and are not guaranteed per day, per week, perschedule, per location, or per worker, e.g., rainouts, brief periodswithout scheduled events, event dates and hours set by agreement withsponsor and subject to change (based upon adverse weather, hours ofoperation, day of the week, attendance, size of the event, schoolschedules, amount of equipment in operation, staffing, etc.), andunforeseen cancellations. In the event of approved, overlapping events,work needs may cause workers to be adjusted.Pay varies based on location of each worksite, $14.93 to $21.81 anhour. No overtime is expected, but if work necessitating OT occurs, itwill be paid in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Locallaws.Employer reserves the option to provide additional compensation forperformance/tenure or may increase wages based on changes in marketconditions.
