What Retail Pharmacy contributes to Cardinal HealthPharmacy Operations is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective coordination of Cardinal Health's pharmacy operations that service acute care hospitals, hospital retail customers, ambulatory care and alternate site facilities, oncology and cardiology practices as well as retail customers.Retail Pharmacy is responsible for ensuring the correct and safe dispensing of prescription medications to the general public, in accordance with legal, ethical and professional guidelines; may also consult with and advise patients and physicians regarding prescribed and over-the-counter medications.This position is located at the Westernport Mountain Laurel Pharmacybut expected to float to Oakland and Grantsville locations as neededPharmacy Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pmResponsibilitiesUnder the direct supervision of manager, this position is responsible for dispensing and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of medications to all customers.Maintains open communication and is available to customers and practitioner sites for consultationParticipates in supervision of technical staffEnsure pharmacy is compliant with best practices for 340B contract pharmaciesProvide professional consultation to both patients and prescribers of partner health facilityCompletes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' work flow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in pharmacy required, PharmD preferredRegistered Pharmacist in the state of MarylandImmunization Certification or willing to become a certified immunizer within 90 days of hireAbility to work a flexible scheduleInterpersonal relations and customer service skills340B experience preferredMay require vendor credentialingAnticipated hourly range:$50.14 per hour - $71.68 per hour.Bonus eligible:NoBenefits:Paid time off in compliance with applicable laws.Application window anticipated to close:01/11/2026 if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.The hourly range listed is an estimate.
