The QA Technician I is responsible for the inspection of molded parts according to quality standards and procedures. Inspections include first articles, in-process inspections, release of finished product and Statistical Process Controls (SPC). Inform production personnel of non-conforming materials. Analyzes defective parts and provides feedback to Production personnel. Works with engineering and manufacturing teams in projects related to the improvement of equipment, materials and vendors to develop solutions and implement preventative measures.Inspects parts being produced by established procedures and AQLsReviews defective parts coming from machines, analyzes them and provides feedback to Maintenance Technician and Production personnelGenerates Defective Material Reports (DMR) for non-conforming materialsResponsible for controlling inventory within MRBCompletes and enters inspection data into Infinity Software (SPC)Monitors and reports on quality related issues, scrap, rework levels.Stops production in the event of manufacture of unacceptable goods/processesMay assist in train direct labor personnel and othersUndertakes special assignments as requiredResponsible for the daily dimensional inspection of the molded parts using several different measuring equipmentContributes and participates in continuous improvement activitiesPosition requires an individual who is enthusiastic, hardworking and team playerUnderstands how to use and apply correct inspection tools/equipment for various inspection methodsAble to write appropriate Work Instructions Computer literate in Microsoft Office toolsExcellent communication skills, high integrity, results drivenDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience with “Infinity” SPC systemProficiency in ExcelExperience in Molding3+ years of experience in Inspection SystemsGD+T experience, able to read and understand drawingsBilingual - English and SpanishRain Bird is an equal opportunity employer.
