This role is responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, analyzing financial data, and assisting with month-end close processes.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment. This position offers exposure to multiple areas of accounting and provides an excellent foundation for long-term growth within the organization.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and analyze weekly and monthly Profit & Loss statements for management review.Conduct sales audits for company-owned restaurant locations and investigate variances.Support month-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany transactions.Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and supporting documentation.Review vendor invoices and expense reports to ensure accuracy and proper coding.Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments.Report monthly sales to landlords and calculate percentage rent where applicable.Analyze food, paper, and labor costs to identify trends or anomalies.Assist with monthly sales tax calculations and filings.Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis.Participate in special projects, process improvements, and other duties as assigned.QualificationsRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance.Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting processes.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.Strong verbal and written communication abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.Preferred:Experience in multi-unit restaurant or retail environments.Familiarity with Concur Expense Reporting systems.Prior exposure to financial audits or multi-entity accounting structures.Total RewardsCompetitive salaryHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Paid vacation and personal daysShort-term disability and voluntary life insuranceTuition and wellness reimbursementOngoing professional development opportunitiesJoin Charleys and help drive the financial success of the world’s favorite cheesesteak brand!Apply now or learn more at www.charleys.comCharleys is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities in the application process and throughout employment, as required by applicable law.
