Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in City of Industry, California. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term employment within the manufacturing industry, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations and vendor management. The ideal candidate will excel in accuracy and efficiency while handling invoice processing, payment runs, and intercompany transactions. Responsibilities: u2022 Process vendor invoices for payment by reviewing purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure proper approvals. u2022 Manage intercompany invoices, journal entries, and related financial transactions across multiple legal entities. u2022 Assess and apply sales and use tax on invoices as necessary. u2022 Execute timely payment runs for vendors across various legal entities. u2022 Serve as a point of contact between corporate offices and factory locations to resolve issues and implement training on new processes. u2022 Maintain accurate vendor records and update them as required. u2022 Collaborate with the Finance department to address cash flow needs and provide necessary assistance. u2022 Perform additional duties as needed to support the accounts payable function. Requirements u2022 Associate degree in a related field preferred; a high school diploma with equivalent experience required. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting or a related field is a plus. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems is required. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and 10-key by touch are essential. u2022 Minimum of 3 yearsu2019 experience in a manufacturing accounting environment is preferred. u2022 Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are critical. u2022 Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and organizational levels.
