Eatonu2019s IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Technician I-ATP. The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour. The hours for this shift are 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What youu2019ll do: PRIMARY FUNCTION: ATP Technician is responsible for performing electrical and mechanical testing on engineering prototypes and production samples to qualify aerospace interconnect products. will set up equipment, prepares compounds and processes a variety of assemblies, such as standard connectors and special connectors following written and verbal instructions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: u2022 Primary function is to maintain the operation of technical assemblies. u2022 Setup equipment to meet product standards for identification. u2022 Visually inspects components and assemblies for conformance to product standards. u2022 Reviews and understands electrical and mechanical test procedures. u2022 Operates and maintains test equipment. u2022 Collects and analyzes test data. u2022 Executes test programs on schedule through collaboration with engineers and third-party test labs. u2022 Incorporates changes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and safety of test procedures. u2022 Experience with general electrical test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, etc. u2022 Experience with soldering and wiring. u2022 Experience in an Aerospace testing and quality environment. u2022 Perform work with limited to no supervision. u2022 Support cross training and other departments. u2022 Rework and/or repair assembled parts and products according to engineering specification changes. u2022 Read and interpret blueprints, illustrations, and specifications to determine layouts, sequences of operations, and follows procedures. u2022 Work in a safe manner and perform housekeeping duties to maintain safe work environment. Assure proper maintenance of a safe and clean work area. u2022 Stage materials for shipment as required. u2022 Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: u2022 High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution u2022 Minimum of 1-3 years with Manufacturing Environment experience u2022 Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. u2022 This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. u2018Green Card Holderu2019), Political Asylee, or Refugee. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: u2022 Detailed knowledge of Aerospace product, manufacturing processes and inspection techniques. u2022 Experience in aerospace products and applications. u2022 Excellent communication and presentation skills u2013 both verbal and written u2022 Ability to read, follow and understand verbal instruction, product/ process specifications, drawings, and work orders in English. u2022 2-3 yearsu2019 experience in related mechanical manufacturing assembly operations u2022 Ability to use calculators. u2022 Ability to lift 30 lbs. and handle components and assemblies using bending, reaching, and twisting body movements; in addition to use of hand tools. u2022 Ability to recognize and inform supervision of assembly problems and equipment breakdown. u2022 Good manual dexterity to assemble small and intricate parts. u2022 Soldering experience Additional Information: u2022 Strong ethics, values, and the ability to influence othersu2019 decision-making. u2022 Must exhibit a high level of motivation, sense of urgency, and energetic approach to job duties and requirements.
