We are a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segements. The Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift role offers a full time work week of 40 hours and potential overtime. Hours: 1:30pm- 10:00pm. What youu2019ll do: Eatonu2019s DCPD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician on 2nd shift. We are a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segments. The Maintenance Technician role offers a full time work week of 40 hours and potential overtime. What youu2019ll do: The Maintenance and Facilities technician will be responsible for performing industrial manufacturing mechanical system work to include layout, relocation, installation, maintenance, and repair of facilities, building mechanical systems, machinery and equipment. In this function you will: u2022 Assist Engineers, Project Managers, and other functions on future plant or department layout proposals/ Kaizens. u2022 Coordinate with Santa Anau2019s building and grounds contractors as needed u2022 Assist Manufacturing Engineers in the development of prototype equipment, manufacturing process, structural maintenance and equipment relocation/installation through the use of LEAN concepts. This may include physically preparing the facility for these activities. u2022 Assist manufacturing operators, supervisors in troubleshooting manufacturing problems. u2022 Assist other personnel with troubleshooting functions to determine most efficient method for repair of production lines and equipment. u2022 Develop and implement improvements to manufacturing or front-end procedures and processes through improved layout, material handling, or work processes and procedures. u2022 Assist with the implementation of MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety, Security and Health) and will utilize MESH tools to drive improvements u2022 Ability to perform general maintenance (i.e electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc) u2022 Partner with HR and EHS to coordinate miscellaneous activities as needed u2022 Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications: Required (Basic): u2022 Minimum of 2 years industrial/facilities maintenance experience or related experience u2022 Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future. u2022 No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Preferred: u2022 High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. u2022 1-3 yearsu2019 experience operating a forklift or other powered industrial trucks u2022 Previous Experience in Lock Out, Tag Out Procedures u2022 Ability to read and understand facility layouts and construction drawings and capable of interacting with outside contractors in the maintenance. Skills: u2022 Working knowledge of basic computer systems including but not limited to: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook u2022 Must have excellent verbal and customer relationship skills u2022 Physical capability of walking up and down stairs and ladders, working on your feet for hours at a time, moving around equipment and buildings, and lifting up to 40lbs. u2022 Ability to operate a forklift and scissor lift. u2022 Knowledge and/or experience leading projects, conducting analysis for root cause identification, and understanding how to identify problems and reach resolutions is beneficial.
