Eatonu2019s IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Machinist II - 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $30.00 per hour. The hours for second shift are as follows; 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What youu2019ll do: Position Function: Machine Operator complete a variety of maintenance, development, and operations task. A Machinist II will support the transition between production and runs various CNC machines such as lathes and mills. And while ensuring quality parts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: u2022 Properly set tools in machine locations required for basic set-up & perform part changeover including program retrieval and input. u2022 Establish work offsets (G54, G55, etc.) manually and utilizing probing technology. u2022 Read, understand, and reset CNC machine program codes. u2022 Be able to calculate and input axis coordinates for CNC machines up to 3 axisu2019s or use spindle probe to determine work offsets. u2022 Calculate and input axis coordinates X, Y and Z or use spindle probe to determine work offsets. u2022 Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing results to make adjustments to work offsets. u2022 Perform new basic set-ups on all machines in assigned work areas including, tool and fixture change, offset adjustments and first article verification. u2022 Responsible for measuring dimensions on own work and as appropriate, work of others, using measuring tools and gages provided to ensure compliance with specified dimensions. u2022 Work in a safe manner and perform housekeeping duties to maintain safety and assure proper maintenance of a safe and clean work area. u2022 Assist M/S Operators with any tooling, fixturing, or programming problems occurring during size change set-ups. u2022 Provide direction, training, and support to M/S Operators I, II, in assigned work area, in machine operation, product quality, safety and housekeeping. Training progress is reported to Operations Supervisor. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: u2022 High School Diploma or GED u2022 Minimum of three to five (3-5) yearsu2019 experience operating CNC lathes and/or mills in a manufacturing or operations environment or equivalent education. u2022 No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (within 50 miles) of Camarillo will be considered for this position. u2022 This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
