This position is a member of our Financial Administration Division.HEREand#8217;S WHAT YOUand#8217;LL BE DOINGReview, audit, and reconcile travel Expense Report (ER) for accuracy of accounting elements and for compliance with state and agency regulations, and procedures in the Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System (CAPPS), including vouchers for direct billing accounts for airfare, car rentals and hotel accommodation. Assist in advising unit staff and provide technical assistance to resolve payment issues.Provide information to Section Manager on travel audit payment issues. Provide technical assistance to unit staff on the resolution of payment issues. Assist in workload municate with vendors and TCEQ travel coordinators to resolve billing issues.Assist in preparing manuals, publications, policy guidelines, and other travel publications, with an emphasis on implementing legislated changes fund.Qualifications: REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCEA bachelorand#8217;s degree with a major in accounting, finance, economics, business, or public administration from an accredited college or university, plus one year of experience where the majority of time was spent in accounting, auditing, or budgeting.A graduate degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or public administration may substitute for two years of the required experience.ORFive years of experience where the majority of time was spent in accounting, auditing, or budgeting.ORCertification as a public accountant (CPA).TRANSCRIPT/ COLLEGE HOURS or COURSE WORK:See instructionson how to attach documents.
