This position is in Burbank CA Job Title: Phone Agent Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-5:30 PM Address: (100% On-Site Position) Burbank, CA Job Duties: u2022 Receives incoming calls through phone queues involving multiple issues from Members and Health Plans. u2022 Maintains or exceeds quality and productivity standards of a minimum of 65 calls per day with matching documentation. u2022 Anticipates our customers/calleru2019s needs: Understanding the wants and needs of customers, listening for cues and identifying how to respond and determining what level of intervention they may need. u2022 Utilizes standardized processes, tools, also resolves routine or complex issues relating to services provided by a provider within the medical group. This can include eligibility, referral status, process designated referrals, and provider availability and members claim related issues. u2022 Maintain patient confidentiality so that HIPAA compliance is always observed. u2022 Process memberu2019s demographic updates. u2022 Ability to work independently in the resolution of telephonic issues. u2022 Handles designated assignments and prioritize work to maintain workflow. u2022 Performs fax functions as needed. u2022 Ensures written and verbal communication with all levels of management, staff, vendors, and property management or accurate and with good grammar. u2022 Displays professionalism, warm and pleasant phone personality, emphasizing tact, empathy, good judgment, and patience. Must Have: u2022 Minimum two (2) years of customer service and public relations experience in a medical setting. u2022 High School Diploma or equivalent is required. u2022 Ability to deal responsibly with matters of a confidential nature. u2022 Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a high stress environment. u2022 Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. u2022 Ability to read, write and understand the English language. u2022 Pleasant telephone manner as well as telephone etiquette Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
