Youll:Lead the Estimating Process: Prepare detailed estimates and timely bid submissions for complex civil construction projects. Read and interpret plans and specifications and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.Possess Basic Project Management Skills: You'll understand contract management, submittals, scheduling and material procurement.Champion Collaboration: Work side by side with our passionate PMs, foreman, and owner from bid to project closeout.Drive Results: Oversee project setup, change orders, and help ensure cost-effective, successful implementations.Build Relationships: Negotiate, communicate, and foster trust with clients, owners, subcontractors, and vendors.What You Bring:Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Technology or equivalent experience5+ years of proven expertise in civil construction estimating, such as utilities, earthwork, or road construction preferredMastery of construction processes from bidding to closeout, equipment choices, and safety standardsExperience with HeavyBid construction software and MS Office (Excel, Outlook)Strong understanding of specs and blueprints with high level of attention to detailOutstanding communication and problem-solving skillsPositive attitude and a drive to continuously learn and deliver better outcomesMilcon Concrete, Inc. is committed to diversity, equal opportunity, and a drug-free workplace.Ready to build the future with Milcon?
