Optum Podiatry, part of Optum, has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient focused and detailed orientedAssociate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goals.Schedule: This is a 37.5-hour work week. The schedule is as follows Monday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Tuesday 9:00 am to 6:30 pm, Wednesday is 8:30 to 5:30 pm, Thursday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Friday 8:00 am to 2:00 pm and rotating Saturdays between the hours of 8:00am to 12:00 pm. The schedule will be determined by the hiring manager upon hire.Location: Underhill Blvd, Suite , Syosset, NY Primary Responsibilities:Greets patients, family members and guests with a friendly smileAssists patients with signing in and completing registrationEnters and scans patient's demographic and insurance information into EpicVerifies insurance eligibility and benefit information; informs patients of insurance benefitsCollects co-payments and patient balancesAnswers incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner; directs calls and takes messagesBring patients into the treatment roomAssists physician and clinical staff by coordinating follow up care for patients; schedules referralappointments for patients and obtains authorization for diagnostic testingAbility to travel to other locations as neededAbility to be cross trainedAssists with other tasks as assignedWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group?
