JOB DESCRIPTION JOB SUMMARYLocation BSWH Medical Center Grapevine TXDepartment Sleep CenterShift Evening shift with some flexibilityPreferred Experience Must have at least 2 years as an EEG technologistThe Neurodiagnostic Technologist 2 will perform test set up, electrode application, and maintain patient safety during clinically significant events and other related duties.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLEResponsible for complete and accurate patient preparation, data acquisition, analysis, and providing a safe testing plies with applicable policies and procedures, adheres to infection control and safety guidelines, protects and maintains patient privacy and confidentiality, and ensures safe work and care environment for self and patients.Observes proper body mechanics while performing work area duties and patient care.Adapts methods for instrumentation to obtain optimal results based on history, clinical observations, and test findings.Demonstrates some knowledge of neuroanatomy and physiology, basic electronics, electrical safety, basic computer skills, END instrumentation, pattern recognition and various medical and pharmacological conditions that influence the EEG recording.Demonstrates knowledge of appropriate action in an emergent situation.Maintains equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards. Will troubleshoot to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment.Reports issues to management or appropriate department.Is available for On Call as assigned.KEY SUCCESS FACTORSDemonstrates advanced knowledge of pattern recognition, artifact troubleshooting and identification, seizure precautions, and first aid.Must have critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Must be able to communicate thoughts clearly; both verbally and in writing.Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with patients, families, and other employees at all levels.Advanced computer skills, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling, electronic medical documentation, and email.Ability to concentrate for long periods of time under stressful conditions while performing properly and effectively.Able to maintain a calm and helpful attitude, even under times of stress, and take appropriate and reasonable steps to resolve issuesBENEFITSOur competitive benefits package includes the following- Immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits- 401(k) savings plan with dollar-for-dollar match up to 5%- Tuition Reimbursement- PTO accrual beginning Day 1Note: Benefits may vary based upon position type and/or levelQUALIFICATIONSLocation BSWH Medical Center Grapevine TXDepartment Sleep CenterShift Evening shift with some flexibilityPreferred Experience Must have at least 2 years as an EEG technologist- EDUCATION - Diploma/GED Equivalent- EXPERIENCE - 2 Years of Experience- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS in 30 days of hire or transfer.
