Specific expectations and procedures for on-call duties will be communicated by your manager.Responsibilities:Coordinating and administering all Gas and Fuel traffic functions relating to freight delivery. Responsible for all incoming/outgoing dispatch phone calls on a daily basis.Records customer orders, dispatches the order to the Drivers, and provides BOL to the Administrative team for further processing.Coordinates deliveries and orders to keep Drivers within the daily hours allowed by the DOTCoordinates with Drivers to resolve any issues, problems or concerns that arise in transit or during delivery. Decides and disseminate solutions to meet and satisfy customer needs.Reports problems to supervisor in a timely and accurate manner and follow-up to ensure problem resolutions.Monitors GPS units on the trucks to assist in processing customer orders effectively & efficiently and use location in the event of an emergency to locate the Driver & trucks.Scheduling all inbound and outbound trucks daily.Maintains a viable relationship with truck drivers and customers to ensure needs are met at all times.Provides accurate accident, safety and various other related reporting as required.Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate supervisor.On-call nights and rotating weekends as assigned.Requirements:High School Diploma or GEDProficiency in MS OfficeProficient verbal and written communication skillsProficient problem solving and analytical skillsAttention to detail and high level of accuracyAbility to manage priorities and workflow and make timely and sound decisionsAbility to handle multiple projects and meet deadlinesFlexibility to work within constantly changing prioritiesAbility to work independentlyPrevious dispatch experienceKnowledge of DOT rules and regulationsKnowledge of fuel, heating and oil and/or lubricant industryKnowledge of freight rates and common carriersHumble.
