$1000 Sign on BonusOverview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Forklift Technician to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our forklift and heavy equipment fleet. If you have a passion for mechanics and a knack for problem-solving, we want to hear from you! This is NOT a forklift operator position. This is a Forklift Mechanic role focused on repair and maintenance. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of forklifts and heavy equipment (gas, diesel, and electric). Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety. Conduct inspections and tests to proactively identify potential issues before they escalate. Maintain accurate and timely records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities. Respond to service calls for both shop and field repairs. Collaborate with team members to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in forklift and material handling technology. Follow all OSHA safety standards and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational certification in mechanics preferred. 8+ years of experience as a forklift mechanic or heavy equipment technician. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities. Capable of working independently as well as part of a team. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (company vehicles may be provided for field work).
