Machine Packer

Description Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes. We are hiring immediately Machine Packers for our manufacturing plant in Williamsburg, PA. Machine Packer Pay/Schedule: $16.72/hr + shift premium $0.35/hr. 12 hour shifts - 2 days and 2 nights required : Day shift 7am -- 7pm / Night shift 7pm -- 7am Mandatory Overtime is required for 1-2 days during this busy season Opportunity to be promoted to a Machine Adjuster position if adequate mechanical skills are demonstrated after 90 days with the possibility to earn up to $21.71/hr if successful progress is being made based on the requirements for the position. Machine Packer Responsibilities & Daily Duties: Loads paper on to automatic hand-fed or web envelope folding machines; pack finished product. Inspects quality of envelopes, labels cartons, reports variances to key personnel. Checks current production orders/schedules to determine daily production requirements. May be required to do rework on finished product; Cleans up work area during/end of shift. Other duties as assigned/required. Machine Packer Physical Requirements & Work Environment:- Ability to keep up with a high-speed delivery output in a standing position for a full shift. Mental alertness; Ability to step up/reach overhead/manually feed paper into machine. Ability to lift up to 55 pounds; Manual dexterity required to grasp objects. Exposure to arm/wrist fatigue; Exposure to noise, hazardous materials (inks, solvents, glue, etc.). Must be able to work in hot or cold weather. Quality inspection skills and ability to measure/read a ruler. Basic math, verbal/written communication, computer skills
