Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team in Spring, Texas. This Accounts Payable Specialist role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting practices and a commitment to ensuring accurate financial processes. The ideal candidate will possess both technical expertise and excellent organizational skills to contribute to the smooth operation of our accounts payable department. Responsibilities: u2022 Process invoices and payment requests with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring timely transactions. u2022 Apply appropriate coding to expenditures, including Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) and Lease Operating Expenses (LOE). u2022 Verify and secure necessary approvals in alignment with company policies and accounting standards. u2022 Reconcile vendor statements and promptly address any discrepancies to maintain strong vendor relationships. u2022 Support month-end closing activities and assist in generating financial reports. u2022 Monitor compliance with internal controls and established accounting procedures. u2022 Collaborate with team members to enhance processes and improve efficiency. u2022 Utilize accounting software and tools to maintain organized and accessible records. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting or a related field. u2022 Demonstrated experience in accounts payable, including AFE and LOE coding. u2022 Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. u2022 Bolo u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Bolo is preferred. u2022 Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. u2022 Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals. u2022 Familiarity with vendor statement reconciliation and month-end close procedures.
