43132BR Requisition ID: 43132BR Business Unit: COR Job Description: CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Network Specialist with deep expertise in network security and firewall management to help safeguard and scale our global IT infrastructure. In this high-impact, hands-on role, youu2019ll lead the design, configuration, and monitoring of Palo Alto and Azure firewalls, enabling secure connectivity across on-premises and cloud environments. Youu2019ll collaborate closely with Security and Infrastructure teams to ensure our systems remain resilient against evolving threats, while serving as a subject matter expert in network security best practices. The ideal candidate will: u2022 Design, implement, manage, and optimize enterprise firewalls, VPNs, and network security policies. u2022 Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network performance and security issues. u2022 Partner with the Information Security team to align firewall rules with compliance and risk standards. u2022 Work with Infrastructure and Application teams to ensure secure connectivity for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. u2022 Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership during incidents. u2022 Stay ahead of emerging network security threats and recommend innovative solutions. u2022 Evaluate and deploy next-generation firewall (NGFW) and security solutions. u2022 Recommend and implement automation for firewall and network security operations. u2022 Perform other duties as assigned. #LI-LP2 #LI-HYBRID Job Title: Senior Network Specialist (Firewalls) Group: COR Employment Type: Regular Minimum Qualifications: u2022 Bachelor's degree. u2022 5 years of related experience. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Experience with Zero Trust architectures, SDN, or security automation (Python, Ansible, PowerShell). u2022 Knowledge of SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel). u2022 Relevant certifications such as Palo Alto PCNSE, CCNP Security, Fortinet NSE, CISSP, or equivalent. Amount of Travel Required: 5% Assignment Category: Fulltime-Regular Visa Sponsorship Available: No - We will not support sponsorship, i.e. H-1B or TN Visas for this position Skills and Abilities: u2022 Hands-on experience with firewall platforms such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, or Check Point as well as cloud solutions such as Azure firewall. u2022 Strong background in routing, switching, VPNs, TCP/IP, DNS, and authentication protocols. u2022 Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) u2022 Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. Pay Range Minimum: $89,336 Pay Range Maximum: $147,389 Additional Compensation: All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position. Work Location Options: Fully Remote or Hybrid Work Options may be considered for successful candidate.
