Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Queens, New York. Responsibilities: u2022 Process a minimum of 150 invoices daily with precision and attention to detail. u2022 Perform high-volume numeric data entry tasks to support departmental needs. u2022 Utilize Sage Timberline software for accounts payable activities and documentation. u2022 Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies. u2022 Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and address invoice-related issues. u2022 Verify invoice details, including amounts, coding, and approvals, before processing. u2022 Assist in generating reports and providing administrative support for financial operations. u2022 Ensure timely payment to vendors by monitoring payment schedules and deadlines. u2022 Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding payment inquiries. u2022 Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the accounts payable department. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role. u2022 Proficiency in Sage Timberline software is highly preferred. u2022 Strong numeric data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and speed. u2022 Ability to handle high-volume invoice processing efficiently. u2022 Solid understanding of accounting principles and general ledger functions. u2022 Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and vendors. u2022 Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. u2022 Familiarity with construction industry practices is a plus.
