Description Specialization: Pediatric Cardiology $ Salary Estimate: $120,000 - $150,000 / year Job Summary: HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Childrenu2019s is seeking a full-time Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our growing Congenital Heart Center. This is a unique opportunity to work with a high-performing, multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to children with congenital heart diseaseu2014all in the heart of Denver, Colorado. Qualifications: + Masteru2019s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program + Current licensure and certification (BLS and PALS required; ACLS preferred) + Strongly preferred: experience in pediatric cardiology, CICU, and/or cardiothoracic surgery Incentive/Benefits Package: + Competitive market salary + Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, 401k, stock purchase plan, PTO, etc. Key Responsibilities: Preoperative Phase: + Perform comprehensive assessments and risk stratification + Coordinate with surgical, anesthesia, cardiology, and ICU teams + Educate families on procedures, expectations, and recovery + Ensure completion of documentation, labs, imaging, and consents Intraoperative Phase: + Provide intraoperative support and first assist during surgery as credentialed + Assist with positioning, sterile prep, and procedural setup + Communicate updates to families during surgery Postoperative Phase: + Manage chest tubes, wounds, and lines as credentialed + Monitor for complications and collaborate with the surgical team + Support discharge planning, education, and follow-up care Skills & Attributes: + Strong clinical judgment and procedural skills + Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings + Commitment to family-centered, trauma-informed care + Flexibility for rotating shifts, weekends, and on-call coverage About HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Childrenu2019s (RMC): + Part of HCA HealthONE , Denveru2019s largest hospital system and a division of HCA Healthcare , which includes over 185 hospitals nationwide + Home to a growing cardiac surgical program with plans to care for all acuity/STAT categories. + Dedicated 10-bed CICU with plans to expand with growth of the program + 143 bed childrenu2019s hospital including 84 NICU beds and 10 PICU beds.
