Job DescriptionJob Title: Aerospace Advisor - Castings Manufacturing EngineerLocation: Remote with travel within domestic U.S.Subcontract agreement (1099; LLC preferred)Shift: Flexible as needed (dedicated upon deployment)Deployment: project deployment to customer locations as neededPay Range: $2,000 to 4,000 per week when deployedAs a subcontracted advisor through Belcan, you will deploy to our customers and/or suppliers as needed to support projects related to Aerospace and Space manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.SummaryBelcan is seeking a Casting Manufacturing Engineering Advisor to support a major aerospace supply chain industrialization initiative. This SME will guide manufacturability reviews, supplier capability assessments, and cost reduction efforts for complex investment castings. The role is fully remote with occasional travel to supplier sites.Key Responsibilities:Review casting and machining drawings for manufacturability and cost optimizationDraft RFQ addendums and support technical evaluations during supplier selectionParticipate in pre-production reviews and assess supplier readiness for new part launchesCollaborate with engineering teams to resolve drawing issues and drive improvementsIdentify and evaluate casting suppliers, both current and potentialAdvise on cost reduction strategies and troubleshoot supplier production issuesMust-Have Qualifications:15 or more years of hands-on experience with investment casting (structural & airfoils)Strong understanding of aerospace and industrial engineering drawingsFamiliarity with X-Ray, FPI, blue/white light inspections, HIP, and weld repairWorking knowledge of aerospace materials and casting processesSkilled in cross-functional collaboration and technical communicationDue to the nature of the work US Citizenship is requiredPreferred Qualifications:Experience with stainless steel and nickel-based alloysKnowledge of Equiax, DS, and SX casting methodsPrevious consulting or project work with major aerospace OEMs or suppliersDegree in Engineering or equivalent experienceIf you are interested in this Manufacturing / Supply Chain Advisory job, please apply via the 'apply now' link provided.Belcan is an equal opportunity employer.
