We do this by providing an accessible, innovative healthcare experience that is built around our patients needs.We are seeking a personable, motivated, and professional Refill Specialist to join our multi-disciplinary healthcare team. This is a part-time position (20-hours) in Derry, NH, Monday through Thursday from 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm, and Friday from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Key Responsibilities Include: Provide support to the clinical staff by reviewing all refill requests and ensuring that the medication protocol/guidelines have been metManage refill requests that are submitted from multiple sources: refill telephone line, E-prescribe, refill mail box, refill Hushmail account, patient portal accounts and via fax machinePossess critical thinking skills as well as the clinical knowledge required to process refill requests per protocol/guidelinesCalculate when refills are due prior to sending to provider for authorizationAuthorize drug refill as directed by provider per guidelines with the authorization to telephone /fax prescription to a pharmacy Update patient care information in EMR related to medication refillsManage refills in a timely fashion making adjustments to complete refills in the designated timeframeQualifications:Certification as Pharmacy Technician or Medical Assistant/LNA is preferred but willing to train the right individualHigh School diploma or GED requiredPrior experience in a physicians office, pharmacy, or customer service setting; minimum of 2 years previous experience preferredExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with emphasis on customer serviceAbility to follow oral and written instructionsDetailed oriented, ability to multi-task with constant interruption requiredAbove average organizational skillsThe ability to manage time effectively and independently in a fast paced, team-orientated environmentMust be able demonstrate initiative, and use good judgement, and empathy when working with team and patientsDemonstration of ethical and professional conduct, including the ability to maintain confidentiality (HIPAA)DMC has offices in Bedford, Concord, Derry, Dover, Goffstown, Londonderry, Raymond, and Windham, New Hampshire.
