Toolmaker

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Toolmaker to join their team. As a Toolmaker, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting the production and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Toolmaker Location: Fairfield, IA Pay Range: $70000 - $80000 Shift: What's the Job? Reads and understands blueprints and complicated schematics to create and build new fixtures, tools, and machine parts. Uses tools and dies to build fixtures; creates dies as required to construct new fixtures. Repairs dies, molds, and tools when needed; disassembles molds, jigs, tools, and fixtures, then reassembles when repaired. Uses computer-aided design (CAD) software to create designs and/or turn designs into blueprints. Inspects completed tools and dies for signs of imperfection or damage that may affect functionality. What's Needed? Minimum of 5 years experience in a toolmaking or manufacturing environment preferred. Proficiency with CAD/CAM software such as Pro E, Work NC, and Power Mill by Autodesk or related software. Strong understanding of metallic properties, geometry, trigonometry, and algebra. Ability to operate measuring and production equipment safely and accurately. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
