Description Maintenance Events Summer Staff (THPRD) is hiring for Maintenance Events Summer Staff!This positionperformsspecial eventsetup and breakdown and supports day-of activities while working with staff, volunteers, vendors, artists, and patrons in a team environment. This position also provides general ground and landscape maintenance; clean up support of park grounds, structures, and facilities and the operation of related maintenance equipment. We have three (3)seasonalpositionsthat may be scheduled up to40hours per week, starting inJune. Hoursmayinclude day,evenings,weekendsand holidays asrequired. Part-time employees are scheduled variable hours and may work less than 1,560 hours per year. Seasonal employees may be scheduled up to 40 hours per week for a maximum duration of 6 consecutive months. Special eventstake placeyear-round, with an increased number of events from May through Septemberat various THPRD park andfacilitiesaround theDistrict. ** Employees receivefree drop-in access to all THPRD recreation facilities for their household. Be sure to check out the "Benefits" tab to see what the district offers you! ** Essential Job Functions Candidatesshould be prepared to work outdoors, on uneven surfaces, in various environmental conditions each week. Physical exertion isrequiredto lift, move, drag,pushand carry heavy objects (up to 60 pounds). This position also requires crouching, bending, kneeling, and reaching, operation of motor vehicle on public roadways, towing of trailers and operation of forkliftto perform duties. Qualifications Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that wouldlikely providethe applicant with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. Must be age 18 orolder Experienceworking in park or landscape maintenance or eventlogistics.
