Controller!Location: Hybrid/Remote out of South Florida (Tampa or South Florida Preferred)Salary: NegotiableJob Summary: Reporting to the Vice President, the Controller will oversee the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, establish internal controls, manage financial reporting processes, and serve as a key liaison with our third-party CPA firm. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely financial data, while enforcing invoice and billing controls across all departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in multi-entity businesses, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.Benefits:Competitive compensationMonthly cell phone allowanceFlexibilityAdvancement opportunitiesWhat You’ll Do:Accounting & Finance OperationsManage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, AP, and bank reconciliationsPrepare, post, and review journal entriesMaintain the chart of accounts across multiple business entitiesOversee timely month-end and year-end close processes with third-party accountantsEnsure timely and accurate preparation of Daily Revenue Reports from each FEC locationMonitor cash flow across all entities and provide weekly updates to leadershipManage credit card reconciliations and petty cash policies across locationsManage wire transfer requests and vendor payments in collaboration with Elev8 TreasurerControls & ComplianceManage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, AP, and bank reconciliationsMaintain internal controls and documentation in line with industry best practicesApprove vendor setups and ensure compliance with procurement proceduresOversee sales tax compliance and coordinate with third-party firm for timely filingReporting & AnalysisSupport third-party CPA firm in producing monthly and annual financial statementsAssist with annual budgeting and periodic forecastingPrepare ad hoc financial reports and support leadership decision-makingAccounting & Finance OperationsLiaise with external CPA firm for reconciliations, tax filings, and financial reviewsCommunicate with General Managers and Department Heads to ensure proper financial documentation and codingSupport onboarding of new FEC locations and integrate financial systems and controlsAssisting location operations management teams with understanding and responding tofinancial informationEnsuring appropriate retention and management of all documentationOther duties and responsibilities as assigned, accordinglyWhat You’ll Need:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of accounting or financial analysis experience ideally in multi-unit businesses, Hospitality, F&B, Amusements, or the entertainmentsectorHigh level of computer literacy, including proficiencies in Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting/bookkeeping softwareExcellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skillsOperational experience in food and beverage, hotel, theme park, and or family entertainment is preferredPassion for hospitality, food, and retailConstruction Accounting experience is a bonusPhysical Demands:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Able to travel as needed.Who we are: Elev8 Fun Indoor Adventure Park is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our staff, volunteers, and clients.
