Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant supervisory experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.Roles and Position Objectives The Autonomous Maritime Platforms (AMP) Business has an immediate opening for an Engineering Resource Manager for the Systems Test Engineering team. As a Technical Manager for the group, you will be responsible for the success of our programs by delivering on our engineering commitments and being accountable for the performance for a growing highly skilled team. You will work closely with the other Resource Managers, Deputy Program Managers of Engineering’s (DPMEs) and Program Managers to make critical staffing decisions, identify and develop skillsets, accurately forecast staffing needs. This management role includes all aspects of staff management, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching/mentoring, career development, performance management, and engineering roadmaps. Direct project work will be required to support the engineering department as well as contributions to proposals in pursuit of new business. Duties & Tasks:Overall responsibility for the engineering aspects of a technical domain, to include the acquisition of critical resourcesDirects, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering efforts within area of responsibilityCapable of identifying project risks, assessing issues and developing resolutions that meet cost, schedule productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectivesSelects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the functionParticipates in development of technical strategies and teaming strategies in technical domainParticipates in the proposal process, including the development of executable project plans on proposalsEnsures process compliance of all engineering activity in area of responsibilityLeads specific process improvement activitiesDetermines and implements the organizational training needs in accordance with the requirements of the technical domainExpected to manage work, set objectives and meet commitments for self and othersManaging Vessel Maintainece, Test Equipment Calibration, and working with Vendors for Field Service AgreementsWhat sets you apart: Demonstrated performance in leading large, cross functional teamsStrong presentation and communication skills across different levels of authority with internal and external stakeholdersCollaborating effectively with others a desire to mentor, advise, and build a team that excelsAdvance knowledge of Test Engineering principles, theories, concepts, and processesExperience planning, coordination, and execution test programs including functional validation and system verification testingFoster an environment to motivate and push for professional development for yourself and othersStrategically manages risks, opportunities, and conflict resolution; ability to achieve consensus among stakeholders Technical and Management credibility, demonstrated through past experiencesOur Commitment to You:An exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development.
