Position summaryThe EHS Manager is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety and environmental related programs and procedures in the areas of health, safety, and sustainability for all sites within the operating company. Essential Job Functions Ensure operating company compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to health and safety including ISO and OSHA standards and proceduresComplete regular audits related to safety compliance and to identify safety, health, and environmental risksManage the operating company Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) databaseProvide safety support, guidance, and oversight Mentor team and leaders in the area of EHSLead workplace safety committees for all operating company sitesLead meaningful incident investigations to identify root cause(s), create action plan(s), and ensure implementation of preventative measures Lead safety visits/audits including any conducted by OSHAEstablish curriculum, deploy, conduct, and ensure completion of safety trainingConduct training on proper use of equipment and safety hazards for employees and/or identify other internal experts or third-party vendors to complete these requirements Develop a sustainable safety culture by engaging the workforce through hazard recognition process and providing support and assistance on proceduresManage environmental regulatory compliance Investigate, educate on and implement effective practices to reduce environmental impact Participate in Cretex Environmental Sustainability initiatives as operating representativeComplete customer or industry environmental initiative and data surveys on behalf of the operating companyEstablish and maintain requirements for chemical exposure assessments and hazardous material monitoring to reduce potential of adverse effects to employees and environmentFacilitate safety operational excellence (OE) improvement opportunitiesCoordinate and conduct emergency response and training drillsFile required regulatory and customer environmental reportsCoordinate with internal experts to properly plan and document safe usage and discharge of hazardous chemicals and wasteManage cross-functional teams in the implementation of ergonomics programsPerform indoor air and noise assessmentsManage required programs such as respiratory protection, hazard communication, hearing conservation, lockout/tagout, forklift safety, safety glasses, etc.Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA’s and certifications) Bachelor’s degree in risk management, occupational health and safety, safety engineering, or equivalent experience5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environmentAbility to travel 20% of the timeMicrosoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)Ability to influence cross functional teamsClear and effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentDesirable Criteria & QualificationsOSHA10 or OSHA 30 or related Safety Certifications Continuing Education; including participation in local chapters, associations, and/or organizationsPhysical & Environmental Demands Cretex Companies use cutting oils, solvents, and other chemicals in the manufacturing process. Testing is conducted on a periodic basis to ensure that all chemicals are kept well below the OSHA permissible exposure levels.USD $97,900.00 - USD $198,000.00 /Yr.This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions.
