This role ensures the stability, availability, performance, and security of all operational systems, databases, and supporting infrastructure.Lead the management and administration of enterprise-scale systems, databases, and infrastructure components.Establish operational standards, maintenance schedules, and best practices to ensure high system availability and reliability.Provide technical direction to operations, engineering, and system administration teams.Monitor production environments to ensure maximum uptime, proactive issue detection, and rapid resolution of performance bottlenecks.Oversee system tuning, patching, upgrades, and capacity planning activities.Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging tools to support operational excellence.Manage and support cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructure environments.Oversee the administration of servers, databases, storage, networking, and related components.Ensure systems are configured for scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency.Ensure adherence to all security standards, compliance requirements, and data protection policies.Oversee vulnerability management, access controls, configuration baselines, and system hardening practices.Coordinate with security teams to address findings and prevent operational risks.Collaborate with development, architecture, and program leadership to support operational needs and planned enhancements.Maintain documentation for system configurations, operational procedures, and incident response activities.Provide clear communication and reporting on system health, risks, and improvement opportunities.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field + 8 years of experience maintaining and administering IT infrastructure of similar size, scope, and complexity.Certification in one or more: AWS, Apache, Databricks, Oracle.Strong background in system administration, infrastructure operations, and enterprise monitoring.Experience modernizing or managing hybrid cloud environments.Expertise in automation, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code tools.Strong troubleshooting skills and comfort operating in fast-paced, complex environments.EOE/M/F/VET/DISABLEDAll qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
