Serco is seeking to fill a fast-paced, growing, and dynamic role of a Senior Test Engineer to support our Satellite Ground System organization in Orlando, FL. This role is an individual contributor supporting engineering activities on one or more assigned programs. The Test Engineer works with a team of test engineers to develop automated test scripts in Eggplant Functional to test program software. Testing is done at various levels including functional, integration, regression and formal system testing to sell-off requirements. This is an agile program using 2-week sprints and tracking work and bugs in JIRA.Must have the ability to maintain/transfer Interim Secret clearance and maintain a Secret clearance as a condition of employmentIn this role, you will:Cross team collaboration is required as you will need to interface with the system engineers to understand the requirements, and the software engineers to understand how the software is working.Be responsible for documenting all bugs you find in JIRA.GET TO KNOW YOUR RECRUITER!To be successful in the role, you will have:Active Interim Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain Secret clearanceU.S Citizenship requiredPrincipal Basic Qualification: 15 Years with Masters (STEM)Experience developing and maintaining comprehensive test plansExperience with system functional and non-functional testingExperience with JIRA is requiredAbility to travel up to 10%Additional desired experience and skills:Engineering background in Test including deriving hardware and software requirements and designing, developing and testing systemsExperience with GitLab and Eggplant Functional and/or Eggplant DAI is preferredAn IAT Level 1 or higher certification (i.e. COMPTIA A+ or higher) is desired, but can be obtained within 6 months of starting if not already availableSatellite Communications engineering experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated aptitude for analytical problem decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, solution implementation, metric development, and metric evaluationExcellent interpersonal and team collaboration skillsExperience working in an Agile frameworkIf you are interested in making an impact with a passionate team, submit your application now for immediate consideration.
