To learn more about playing for Team Amcor, visitwww.amcor.com|LinkedIn|YouTubeEnsure compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations.Ensure compliance with company safety environmental and health policies.Maintain clean and safe work areas in line with GMP and sanitation policies.Recommend and implement process or plant changes to enhance safety and quality.Develop and manage the tooling budget and departmental metrics.Oversee all tooling activities and set priorities for these groups.Minimize equipment downtime due to tooling breakdowns.Manage expenses for tool shop and make recommendations for capital needs.Evaluate down-time and efficiency reports.Drive process improvements.Manage daily activities of the tooling department to balance staffing, workflow, and eliminate bottlenecks.Coordinate work with outside contractors and ensure the completion of all assigned projects.Collaborate on capital projects to ensure requirements are met and budgets are adhered to.Set weekly and monthly priorities and schedules for the tooling team.Collaborate with vendors on new technology and coordinate vendor/supplier activities.Enhance the skills of tooling employees through training, development opportunities, and coaching.Conduct annual performance reviews for tooling employees and identifying training needsMinimum of five years maintenance group lead or supervision experience in a tooling environmentHigh school diploma / GED equivalentCertified Journeyman Toolmaker requiredProven ability to lead, motivate and direct employees.Knowledge of mechanical systems, excellent troubleshooting capability and proven ability to apply that knowledgeStrong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent communication and team building skills requiredAbility to lead, motivate and direct employees in a positive manner to drive resultsExcellent negotiating abilityMust have excellent industry knowledge.Proficiency in basic computer programs, spreadsheets, word processing, and data bases.Equal Opportunity Employer/Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans/Sexual Orientation/Gender IdentityAmcor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.If you would like more information about your EEO rights as an applicant under the law, please click on the 'Know Your Rights: Workplace Discrimination is Illegal' Poster.
