Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a part-time, long-term contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while collaborating with team members to maintain efficient workflows. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely, with training provided to ensure you are fully equipped to excel in your responsibilities. Responsibilities: u2022 Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. u2022 Record daily cash journal entries for banking activities and maintain updated general ledger postings. u2022 Assist in reconciling prepaid expenses and fixed asset accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting. u2022 Prepare and manage data imports and exports in Excel, supporting financial reporting and analysis. u2022 Work closely with the Senior Accountant to ensure seamless financial operations and provide support to the FP& A team as needed. u2022 Maintain precise and detailed records of all transactions to support audits and compliance. u2022 Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial documentation in a timely manner. u2022 Support the team during employee leave coverage and adapt to various accounting tasks as required. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role. u2022 Hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software. u2022 Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits. u2022 High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial data management. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including handling data imports and exports. u2022 Ability to work independently while maintaining clear and effective communication with team members. u2022 Familiarity with automated clearing house (ACH) processes and invoice coding. u2022 Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
