Accountant - Entry Level

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join our client's team in Fullerton, California. The role involves supporting critical accounting functions during audits and year-end processes while collaborating closely with the Assistant Controller. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and attention to detail. u2022 Investigate and analyze accounting discrepancies and variances to ensure financial accuracy. u2022 Generate and review audit reports to support compliance and regulatory requirements. u2022 Perform reconciliations for general ledger accounts and bank statements. u2022 Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of year-end accounting tasks. u2022 Utilize Sage X3 accounting software to manage and process financial data. u2022 Support audits by providing necessary documentation and detailed reports. u2022 Conduct research on accounting entries to resolve discrepancies and improve processes. u2022 Maintain organized financial records and assist in preparing reports for management review. u2022 Handle additional tasks as assigned by the Assistant Controller to support the accounting department. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a detail-oriented environment. u2022 Proficiency in Sage X3 accounting software is required. u2022 Strong knowledge of Excel for data analysis and reporting. u2022 Experience with preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts. u2022 Ability to analyze financial variances and discrepancies effectively. u2022 Familiarity with audit processes and compliance standards. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and management.
