Associate Attorney

Description We are looking for a skilled Associate Attorney to join our team in Santa Rosa, California. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in civil litigation and at least four years of relevant experience, particularly in commercial litigation. Familiarity with employment law is highly desirable, as well as a demonstrated ability to manage case reviews, draft pleadings, and handle law and motion matters effectively. Responsibilities: u2022 Conduct thorough case reviews and analyze applicable laws to provide strategic legal counsel. u2022 Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail. u2022 Represent clients in court proceedings, including arguing law and motion matters. u2022 Develop and execute discovery strategies, including preparing and responding to written discovery requests. u2022 Collaborate closely with team members to ensure seamless case management and effective representation. u2022 Maintain compliance with billable hour requirements, achieving a minimum of 1,650 hours annually. u2022 Provide guidance on employment law matters as applicable to client cases. u2022 Utilize case management and document management software to organize and track case progress. u2022 Research and summarize legal matters to support case strategy and client advisement. Requirements u2022 Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. u2022 Active member of the California State Bar. u2022 Minimum of four years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on commercial litigation. u2022 Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to articulate arguments effectively. u2022 Proven attention to detail and organizational skills in managing complex cases. u2022 Familiarity with case management and document management software. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. u2022 Knowledge of employment law is a plus.
