Eatonu2019s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Quality Tech. We are a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segments. The Quality Technician- 1st Shift offers a full time work week of 40 hours and potential overtime. Hours: 5:00am-1:30pm. Full Benefits and 401k plan is offered to you day one of employment. What youu2019ll do: Eatonu2019s CPS division is currently seeking a Quality Technician u2013 1st Shift. What youu2019ll do: This position will be responsible forinspecting products to ensure they meet company and customer quality expectations. In this function you will: u2022 Perform part and product inspections, document the results, identify and quarantine Non-Conforming (NC) parts u2022 Determine the Root Cause of Non-Conforming Parts u2022 Verify First Article Inspection (FAI) of all production lines u2022 Perform Control and Process audits as scheduled u2022 Report inspections and audits using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word u2022 Create Quality Alerts and notify operators of quality issues u2022 Investigate Non-Conforming Product, use problem-solving techniques to resolve issues u2022 Contribute to pre-production quality planning, including developing Quality Assembly documents, attending product and process reviews and technical training of production personnel u2022 Support Manufacturing Engineering in machine capability studies for new and existing machines u2022 Support Gage Calibration System u2022 Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies Qualifications: Required (Basic): u2022 High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution u2022 Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship u2022 Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50-mile radius) will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred: u2022 Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics u2022 Associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology or other technical degree u2022 ASQ Quality Technician Certification preferred u2022 3 to 5 years of work experience as a Quality Technician, preferably in the Power industry u2022 Six Sigma and Lean certifications and/or experience u2022 Statistical Process Control u2022 Understanding of delta-wye 3 phases transformer and resistive load bank technology Skills: u2022 Individual may be required to sit, stand and walk regularly u2022 Individual must be able to lift up to 40 pounds throughout work shift . u2022 Individual may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, push and/or pull.
