Systems Engineer

Description The Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business within our client. EOIS develops, manufactures, and supports infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles and airborne platforms. u2022 Involved with the analysis, design, development and implementation of new and/or existing electro-optic and infrared systems/sub-systems. May include Architectural Design, Requirements Engineering, or others. Determine system specifications. Support acquisition of hardware and software (or subcontractor services as needed). u2022 Responsible for driving technology and completion of activity on time and budget, including leading the integration and test activities u2022 Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems u2022 Ability to complete a technical project independently u2022 Mentor and coach other engineers. u2022 Review customer specifications and requirements, and develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable u2022 Ability to lead major problem resolution efforts and support regaining or attaining customer partner status. u2022 Be a key member of the new business capture team. u2022 Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments u2022 Document component and subsystem specifications and material requirements u2022 Analyze designs as necessary. Responsible for higher-level product line architecture, and providing guidance and oversight to multiple development teams working on different products or technologies to ensure the technologies interoperate or connect to each other appropriately. u2022 Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings u2022 Actively support pursuit of new business by developing and presenting new concepts, technologies or applications as part of Business Development and Program Management team. u2022 Develop trusted engineering contacts with the customer.
