Description Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Counsel to join our legal team in hybrid capacity. This role supports the entire contract lifecycle for a dynamic and mission-driven health services organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in healthcare and IT-related contracts and must be licensed to practice law in the State of New York. This is a highly collaborative and engaging role, requiring close partnership with cross-functional teams and senior-level stakeholders across the organization. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional presentation, problem-solving, writing, and interpersonal skills, along with keen attention to detail. Job Title: Healthcare Procurement Counsel (Hybrid) Location: New York, NY (Downtown/Tribeca) Schedule: Hybrid u2013 4 Days Onsite (Mondayu2013Thursday) (Friday- Remote) Duration: 6+ months (w/ potential to extend) Pay Rate: $85+/ Hour Key Responsibilities: + Legal Oversight: Provide strategic legal counsel on procurement matters, including contracts, vendor agreements, and supply chain operations. + Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, including FDA, HIPAA, CMS, and NYC procurement laws. + Contract Management: drafting, negotiation, and execution of complex procurement contracts. + Risk Mitigation: Identify legal risks in procurement processes and develop strategies to mitigate them. + Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as IT, pharmacy, medical devices, and finance to align legal strategies with operational goals. + Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures. Requirements Qualifications: u00b7 Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. u00b7 Active license to practice law in New York State (required). u00b7 3u20137 years of relevant experience in commercial contracts, preferably within the healthcare or health IT sectors. u00b7 Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory frameworks and data privacy laws. u00b7 Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, and stakeholder-facing environment. u00b7 Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills. u00b7 Deep understanding of public sector procurement regulations. u00b7 Ability to lead and mentor legal teams. u00b7 Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Preferred Experience: u00b7 Familiarity with healthcare provider or payer environments. u00b7 Experience with SaaS and cloud-based technology agreements. u00b7 Knowledge of value-based care models and healthcare reimbursement structures.
