Field Agronomist II Position: Major Tasks u2022 Independently conduct and coordinate field studies. Apply recommendations from protocol and statistician to design trials that achieve protocol objectives. Apply scientific skills to efficiently & accurately collect, analyze, summarize and interpret data, plus influence product positioning both internally and externally. Utilize internal and external networks to identify and secure testing sites that meet protocol criteria. Collaborates with academics, growers, CROu2019s and other key influencers, as well as with internal cross-functional teams to conduct field trials and advance BCS interests and products. u2022 Develop, analyze and provide data on product efficacy and make development recommendations based upon data interpretation. u2022 Engage in assigned Protocol Delivery Team (PDT) led by ASMu2019s (Agronomic Solutions Managers) and TPL's (Technical Product Leads) for developing National Protocols. Apply marketplace knowledge to facilitate Local Technical Team (LTT) in the development of Regional Protocols. u2022 Participate in Product Performance Inquiry Processes & assist when required (e.g. Crop Phyto / Weed Resistance Management (WRM) u2022 Serve as a local Bayer contactfor University Research Staff. u2022 Represent Field Solutions regional/national interest on BCS assigned workstream teams. u2022 Collaborate with commercial facing squads to provide technical support. Activities include but are not limited to:conducting demonstration trials, presenting to grower/distributor groups, assisting with product inquiries and complaints, transfer data based knowledge on BCS products product to both internal and external groups, etc. Regulatory Compliance / Stewardship and Safety u2022 Learn, apply and adhere to all regulatory and stewardship requirements in field testing program while driving awareness with internal and external stakeholders. Coach others, both internally and externally, onpotential Stewardship requirements of field trials to ensure our FTO. u2022 Collaborate with Functional Compliance Lead (FCL) on both internal and external Confined Field Trial (CFT) audits. u2022 Initiate and manage the execution of external contracts and maintenance of land & warehouse contracts. Safety and Logistics u2022 Learn, apply and comply with all safety standards and requirements u2022 Effectively forecast / order seed & crop protection products for successful execution of field research program u2022 Collaborate with ASM in planting, spraying, maintaining, and harvesting field trials u2022 Effectively manage DOT compliance, trailer inspections as required Accountability: Freedom to Act/Decision-Making and Impact u2022 Follow all safety and compliance (regulatory & DOT) guidelines to maintain our freedom to operate (FTO) as a company. Effectively steward company resources (equipment, budget, etc.). u2022 Function independently or collaboratively as needed to plan, coordinate, and execute field research trials.
