Seeking individuals to assist Roxbury Community College and the ReggieLewis Track & Athletic Center (RLTAC) in various internal collegeevents, external community group rental events such as meetings,fundraisers, concerts, vendor fairs, theatre performances, and sportingevents. Event staff members are expected to have good communication andteamwork skills as well as professionalism and attention to detail. Theability to work flexible hours is a must. Assist in various set-up andbreakdowns of scheduled events (i.e. setting up and breaking down forathletic sporting events at the RLTAC, including hurdles, raking thelong jump pit, setting up tables/chairs according to floorplans, hangingsignage, organizing dressing and green rooms based on client requests).Assist in clean up and breakdown of materials and equipment aftercompletion of event. Provide Coverage for crowd control during largerscale events Monitor access to events as assigned Assist with Managementof building operations as directed (i.e. administrative support,covering check-in desk, weight room, membership services and otherdepartments on campus) Adhere to policies and procedures mandated byRoxbury Community College and the RLTAC Report any logistical issues toonsite events supervisor. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must bein good health and fitness with full mobility Other duties to beassigned by supervisor. 18 years of age or older Attention to detailGreat communication skills. Ability to assist fellow staff members andwork with others as a team. Ability to work independently. Must bewilling to work nights and weekends. Ability to maintain composure instressful situations. Excellent customer service and interpersonalskills a must. High school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of previousrelated event staff experience preferred. Ability to speak multiplelanguages.
