Jordan Health is now seeking aPer Diem Physicianwho, under the guidance of the Chief Medical Officer, is primarily responsible for providing high quality comprehensive medical care, as it applies to the context of the whole family, including the organic, mental and social well-being of each patient. Requirements The Per Diem Physician will ensure to: u00b7 Provide ambulatory patient care and necessary emergency care. u00b7 Provides each patient with a complete health assessment and refers patients to appropriate in-house resources to obtain this complete assessment. u00b7 Obtains consultations from appropriate sources whenever necessary and records the results in the patientu2019s medical record. u00b7 Orders medications in the patientu2019s electronic medical record, specifying dose to be administered and ensures that the orders are counter-signed by the nurse administering the medication. u00b7 Contributes to team effort by accomplishing assigned tasks, actively participating in group meetings and assisting others as necessary. u00b7 Attendance is regular and reliable, in order to maintain effective professional relationships and keep up with position responsibilities. Education And Experience Required: u00b7 Possession of a license to practice as a medical doctor in New York State. Licenses And Certifications: u00b7 Board eligibility or Board certification. u00b7 Must obtain credit hours of CME as required. u00b7 Must meet privileging and credentialing requirements for Physicians. Special Skills, Knowledge Required: u00b7 Ability to administer impartial treatment to a wide cross segment of the socio-economic spectrum. u00b7 Ability to work under conditions of stress. u00b7 Skill in interpersonal relationships. u00b7 Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Access, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and eClinicalWorks or other electronic health record.
