GA-SI is a leading-edge expert in systems integration technologies, reliability improvements, and controls system design.We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer in our Systems Integration Engineering Group, in Kaysville, Utah.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide Mechanical Engineering services in support of aircraft modifications and system improvements. Develop aircraft mechanical systems from concept, requirement development, design, analysis to prototype and qualification testing. Design and develop complex aircraft systems, system integration laboratory test equipment, and complex ground support equipment using SolidWorks, NX, or CREO CAD software and ANSYS Finite Element Analysis. Assist in the planning and coordinating of engineering solutions including, documentation, reporting, publishing, and making technical and other presentations to ensure viability of the solution(s) in an evolving environment. Work within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment, interfacing with IPT leadership, suppliers, and other technical disciplines to independently prepare/status and/or lead the preparation of engineering design solutions to challenging problems. Support on-site product manufacturing and integration sites. Plan for future applications of solutions based on new developments in engineering technology.
