CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: Sherwin-Williams is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Global Director of Occupational Safety and Health to lead the development and implementation of safety and health strategies across our global operations. This critical leadership role will drive the advancement of our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Management System, promoting best practice sharing, reducing risk, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and collaborative leadership to guide global safety initiatives that protect employees, enhance operational performance, and align with corporate objectives. This role will serve as a key advisor to leadership, championing a proactive safety culture and ensuring the integration of best practices across all divisions and regions. Strategic Leadership Develop and implement a comprehensive global safety and health strategy aligned with corporate EHS objectives. Lead enterprise-wide safety initiatives to reduce risk and enhance performance across all global divisions. Ensure strategic alignment of safety initiatives with organizational goals. Learning & Culture Building Collaborate with cross-functional corporate teams to foster a proactive safety culture. Drive continuous improvement and employee engagement through targeted education and communication. Apply Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles to enhance operational efficiency and workplace safety. Integrate Human Factors Engineering to reduce errors and improve organizational effectiveness. Risk Management Collaborate strategically to position the EHS Management System for proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation of safety and health risks across global operations. Review comprehensive incident investigations and root cause analyses for serious events. Translate investigation insights into actionable improvements and robust corrective/preventive measures. Promote continuous risk reduction and strengthen organizational safety resilience. Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant recordkeeping across all applicable operations. Fleet and Driver Safety & Compliance Oversee the development and execution of global fleet and driver safety strategies. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Oversee accident prevention, compliance monitoring, and training programs. Leverage advanced technologies (e.g., AI systems, telematics) to enhance safety and operational efficiency.
