Business Systems Manager - Up to 110K - Syracuse, NY - Site based 5 days a weekJob Overview:We are seeking a hands-on and strategic Business Systems Manager to join the IT team. This role leads the planning, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of key business systems—including ERP, WMS, EDI, and other integrated platforms. The position bridges technology and business operations, ensuring applications are aligned with company goals and deliver maximum value.Responsibilities:Own the full lifecycle of business-critical applications: selection, configuration, implementation, integration, upgrades, and user support.Lead cross-functional projects involving systems rollouts, enhancements, or integrations—including ERP, WMS, EDI, and eCommerce platforms.Manage all aspects of EDI, including developing mappings and integrations, onboarding new trading partners, and monitoring and troubleshooting daily transaction flows.Apply strong project management concepts including scoping, coordination among internal and external teams, maintaining project timelines and milestones, and communicating with all stakeholders.Evaluate and plan new system implementations or upgrades, including selection, budgeting, testing, training, and go-live.Partner with department heads to understand business needs and recommend system-based solutions.Manage relationships with software vendors, consultants, and integration partners.Ensure data integrity and consistency across integrated systems (including between back-end and front-end eCommerce components).Develop and maintain API connections between both cloud and on-premise systems.Develop and maintain documentation on system processes, data flows, and configurations.Monitor system performance and technology utilization; identify opportunities for improvement or automation.Stay current on emerging technologies relevant to eCommerce, supply chain, and customer-facing integrations.Experience:5 years of experience in IT or systems-related roles, with at least 2 years focused on business applications or enterprise systems.Strong knowledge of ERP, WMS, EDI, and eCommerce systems; integration experience is highly preferred.Proven ability to lead projects and manage stakeholders across departments.Experience working with third-party vendors and technical consultants.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a business-process mindset.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Familiarity with SQL, APIs, or basic data structures is a plus.Excellent project management skills including budgeting, forecasting, and timeline management.Preferred Systems Experience:Database: SQL ServerERP: Dynamics GPWMS: Warehouse management softwareEDI: EDI platformseCommerce: eCommerce platformsOther Tools: Power BI, Excel, C# .NETSalary/Package:85,000 - 110,000 per year Schedule: Monday - FridayBenefits:Flexible Paid Time OffCompany-paid holidaysHealth, prescription, and dental insuranceLife and disability insuranceSupplemental insurance options401(k) with company matchEmployee assistance programEmployee purchase programLocation: Syracuse, NY - Site based 5 days a week.How to Apply:Apply with your CV to be considered for this position.
