Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities Oversee the monthly and quarterly financial close process for the TV Networks organization, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and company policiesReview monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring all necessary required adjustments and true ups are reflected in the ledger accurately and timely. Assist in the preparation and review of regular and ad hoc reporting packages for financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow) and management reviewReview relevant schedules to support external disclosure.Support key controllership processes related to linear distribution, advertising and other revenue streams in TV Networks, collaborating with business and technical accounting teams to assess the impacts of new transactionsEnsure that operational and design effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting is maintained and support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance. Coordinate with the Senior Director to identify opportunities for process improvements and control enhancements across accounting operationsContribute to the implementation and ongoing enhancement of reporting systems and tools used in the controllership functionManage and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environmentCollaborate with controllership team and IT on reporting system enhancements (e.g. amortization systems)Coordinate and communicate with various business units, including Financial Planning, Controllership, and LegalQualificationsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred. Minimum of 6+ years Accounting and/or Finance experience, preferably in the entertainment industryKnowledge of general accounting practices and financial accounting standards.Experience working in a publicly traded company or a Big 4 accounting firm a plus.Understanding of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance requirements is preferred.Proficiency in ERP systems is preferred.Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and transparency.Additional Information: Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the Englewood Cliffs, NJ office a minimum of three days per week.
