Swim Assistant Director

The Assistant Head Swim Counselor should have experience teaching and organizing swimming lessons for children of all ages and abilities. It is also recommended that the assistant head swim counselor have prior experience supervising staff, and would benefit from having been employed by Roughing It before. The assistant head swim counselor is a swim instructor, and also may help supervise campers at before/after camp care. Other duties of the assistant head swim counselor include assisting the head swim counselor in supervising staff and helping to maintain and manage the pool site. The assistant head swim counselor will also complete written evaluations of staff and campers, will be asked to accompany and supervise campers on bus routes as needed, and may be the admin on duty for camper drop off/pick up health screenings. Roughing It will reimburse the cost of ARC Lifeguard Training and may have available training classes before the start of summer. Prerequisites:Minimum age 20 ARC Lifeguard Certification (Roughing It will reimburse and may have course available) Experience working with children Attend Administrative & Staff Training WSI Certification Recommended 47 hrs/week, starting at $805/week
